The Labour Trends Impacting the Logistics Market

March 13, 2019 – 14:00 - 14:45

What shape are labour needs taking in warehouses today? Is the labour force composition changing because of automation or worker scarcity, or both? Does the wider mix of different job qualifications inside a warehouse mean that finding suitable labour is challenging?

In this panel we explore how labour trends can impact customer strategies, from recruitment and retention to location and other considerations. We also take a closer look at the wide range of real estate investor initiatives around labour like transportation, amenities and installations.

Buildings and Construction: Engaging for Resources Efficiency

    March 13, 2019 – 11:15 - 12:00

The impact of buildings and construction on energy resources consumption and greenhouse gas emissions is obvious. The real estate sector, through engaging in a transformative process, can play a major role in reducing these emissions.

    • How can technology help monitor resources consumption and reduce its impact on climate change?
    • What alternatives can be leveraged to achieve more sustainable goals?
    • Is the process the same for a retrofit strategy as it is for a new build?
    • How can we accelerate investment in smart buildings?
