Our team is going to lead and participate in a series of panels at MIPIM 2019. We are thrilled to invite you to tune in to our hosted panel on labour trends and to hear from our forward-thinking speakers on a range of other subjects.
The Labour Trends Impacting the Logistics Market
March 13, 2019 – 14:00 - 14:45
What shape are labour needs taking in warehouses today? Is the labour force composition changing because of automation or worker scarcity, or both? Does the wider mix of different job qualifications inside a warehouse mean that finding suitable labour is challenging?
In this panel we explore how labour trends can impact customer strategies, from recruitment and retention to location and other considerations. We also take a closer look at the wide range of real estate investor initiatives around labour like transportation, amenities and installations.

The impact of buildings and construction on energy resources consumption and greenhouse gas emissions is obvious. The real estate sector, through engaging in a transformative process, can play a major role in reducing these emissions.
How can technology help monitor resources consumption and reduce its impact on climate change?
What alternatives can be leveraged to achieve more sustainable goals?
Is the process the same for a retrofit strategy as it is for a new build?
How can we accelerate investment in smart buildings?

Prologis speaker: François Rispe, MD, Regional Director, Southern Europe
Logistics has become an established asset class that is attracting institutional investors from all over the world. Does the sector still have that feel-good factor or is competition for assets and land becoming a problem? Technology and innovation have been drivers of growth in e-commerce and logistics. What is the impact of robotics, big data, driverless lorries, drones, artificial intelligence and other innovations on the sector? As consumers' demands increase, how can companies deliver more last-mile centres? What is the investment outlook for this dynamic sector?
