In May 2016 in Parc du Hode, Prologis’ flagship park in the Le Havre market, Prologis completed a 17,000 square meter build-to-suit for Cedilec, a subsidiary of E.Leclerc group. E.Leclerc is one of France’s leading grocery and general merchandise retailers.

Cedilec manages the entire import supply chain for E.Leclerc. “As a longstanding customer of the Port of Le Havre since 1994, Cedilec has made the choice to set up its sole French distribution hub here,” said Vincent Malfère, deputy CEO of HAROPA.

HAROPA brings together a number of Seine-Oise river ports into a single Economic Interest Group (EIG). The combined entity is Europe’s fifth-largest commercial and biggest inland port complex. Thanks to the new build-to-suit, Malfère is pleased “to see E.Leclerc group create in Le Havre one of the biggest platforms in France.”

Cécile Tricault, country manager, Prologis France, said, “We are proud to support the development of the Port of Le Havre and to continue to support our existing customers and attract new ones because of the location and suitability of our offerings.”

Prologis Park du Hode at Le Havre is ideally located along the A131 motorway (Paris–Le Havre via A13) in the Port of Le Havre’s industrial zone and close to the Normandy bridge (A29). It comprises 250,000 square meters of Class-A logistics space and has the potential for up to 315,000 square meters of new development.

Prologis has had a presence in Le Havre for more than 15 years and has approximately 200,000 square meters of warehouses in the industrial and port zones. This build-to-suit for Cedilec demonstrates Prologis’ ability to attract logistics providers to first-class industrial distribution centers along the Seine corridor.
