Customer: Action
Action is a Dutch chain of discount retail stores. Operating in Germany, France and Austria, the company sells more than 5,000 products through 852 stores. Its retail strategy requires frequently restocking products (household items, office supplies, cosmetics food, toys, etc.). Action is increasing the pace of store openings in France.

Building name: Prologis Moissy 2 DC 2
Location: Prologis Moissy 2 Les Chevrons, Avenue Paul Delouvrier, 77 Moissy-Cramayel
Building type: Turnkey
Size: 71,000 square meters

Customer needs:

  • A new, 71,000 square meter building south of Paris
  • Manage orders for a wide variety of products for Action’s 200 stores in France
  • Achieve sustainability goals
  • Deliver the first phase within a short time frame

The Solution:
Prologis developed an extra-large modular building to meet Action’s specific needs. Because of the variety of products to be stored in the warehouse, Prologis obtained a wide-ranging Classified Installation for Environmental Protection (ICPE) authorization. Sustainable development was addressed by the park, which was redeveloped from a formerly obsolete site.

After just nine months, Prologis delivered the 42,000 square meter first phase in early June 2016, followed by a second phase in February 2017, bringing the building’s total square footage to 71,000 square meters. A former storage facility for Citroën spare parts was redeveloped completely. Most buildings were demolished to make way for new Class-A structures in compliance with current user requirements. Demolition waste was reused onsite for construction of the new buildings, which obtained BREEAM “Very Good” accreditation.

Prologis Moissy 2 Les Chevrons was designed to enhance and improve existing infrastructures. As a member of the International Biodiversity Property Council, Prologis is committed to a BiodiverCity approach, a certification that aims to promote urban biodiversity throughout a project.
