As we focus on public health needs during the COVID-19 outbreak, it is important that we address the long-term societal and economic ramifications of the global pandemic. To that end, the Prologis Foundation has launched a $5 million global relief fund to provide financial support to nonprofits and community-based organizations on the frontlines of the response. Feeding America and the European Food Bank Federation are our first partners in this effort, and the Foundation’s gift will fund 8.5 million meals for people in need across the U.S. and Europe. Other recipients of the fund include the American Red Cross, European Red Cross, Community Foodbank of New Jersey, NJ Pandemic Relief Fund, and City Harvest in New York. We plan to make further contributions to organizations across the globe, with an emphasis on feeding those in need and assisting medical communities that have been impacted.

Prologis’ platform also plays a vital role in supporting people and organizations throughout the crisis. Through our Space for Good program, the company has offered unoccupied buildings and yard space for COVID-19 relief efforts to local, state and federal agencies in the US, and to hospitals and relief organizations throughout the world. To date, we have donated more than one million square feet in nine markets, with more donations pending. We are also a signatory to the #StoptheSpread campaign, joining other business leaders in pledging a financial commitment and creative solutions in increasing COVID-19 support and recovery.

We are continuing to explore ways to address the challenges faced by our communities and will keep you updated with new developments.
