Value Beyond the Real Estate

Industry-leading strength spearheading innovation

With over 22.5m sqm* of logistics real estate in our European portfolio occupied at 97.7%** and land exceeding 550 ha, we’ve never been better positioned to support our customers and build long-term value.

Our industry-leading balance sheet is ready to deploy capital to secure land and deliver customised developments for our customers. Our financial stability ensures that we meet our commitments to our customers. We take pride in being reliable, financially responsible and delivering quality products and services that our customers trust.

We’re at the forefront of driving sustainable, customer-centric and profitable logistics real estate worldwide. For instance, in the US, we rank #2 for being the largest on-roof solar energy generator and across the global value chain, Prologis is already past the halfway point to meeting our interim goal of 1GW by 2025, a milestone set in 2022.

We are also investing in innovations that can help us reduce our emissions. For example, by developing all-electric buildings, rolling out EV fleet technology and trialing low carbon construction materials.

Through Cool Earth, and to mitigate 1.25m tCO2e** of unavoidable embodied carbon emissions from building construction, Prologis Europe has funded the protection of rainforest 10,105 ha in Peru and Papua New Guinea. The rainforest, which is protected, stores over 7.3m tCO2e** – four times the amount of embodied carbon emissions.

Going beyond the real estate

The logistics real estate landscape is undergoing significant upheavals amidst high e-commerce demand. Our customers have to meet soaring e-commerce demand, navigate challenging financing, deal with competitive supply chains and integrate ESG goals into every level of their business.

At Prologis, we pay attention to what our customers, investors and supply chain say. And over 40 years, we’ve also established pillars such as Prologis Research and Prologis Ventures to enable us to make smart, informed decisions that serve our customers—alleviating their pain points where we can. Together with our super integrated solutions platform, they deliver unique value to our customers beyond others in the market.

One of our unique advantages is Prologis Research, where we constantly monitor the markets to deliver learnings that leverage customers’ and investors’ resources. These learnings and expert knowledge from on-the-ground local teams are used in developing solutions for our customers. Prologis Research publishes publicly available whitepapers on the state of the logistic sector.

With Prologis Ventures, our corporate venture fund, we’re partnering with forward-thinking businesses to create innovations that address our customers' critical logistics challenges. We also put emphasis on pioneering sustainability solutions that propel us toward our ambitious Net Zero by 2040. To date, we have invested $250m across 48 companies. Prologis' extensive global network and industry knowledge make it a preferred partner to help introduce innovative solutions to the market.

We make long-term investments in providing solutions through our Prologis Essentials platform, from product to service, including renewable energy from our warehouse roofs for our customers, straight to their operations. We’re in 12 European countries across more than 1,042 warehouses and parks in key locations, such as ports and urban zones—providing a unique charging network for our customers.
